However, by that time it will be too late. Thanks that phone call, the cops will raid, accost, buttonhole, interrogate, detain and wage war on you.
And the fact that you're a peaceful, law-abiding, private citizen will make no difference to them. Why? Because, as usual, the police will overreact. Because, as usual, the police will use excessive force. Why? Because you live in Zugoland, and Zugoland is a police state.

Encourage the officers to proactively look for minor infractions — real or imaginary. Make sure that — for little or no reason — they keep intimidating, buttonholing, interrogating, detaining, investigating and arresting peaceful, law-abiding private citizens.
