How would you like to be an alien in the mythical country of Varsovia?As an alien living in Varsovia, chances are you'll struggle a lot because you're unknown, underpaid and poor.

And because, thanks to the boom and bust economy, in Varsovia there are multi-year recessions that occur again and again on a regular basis.
And because the actual rate of unemployment is more than twice as high as the official unemployment figures published by the Varsovian Department of Labor.
And because the Varsovian taxes are high. As to wages and salaries, you receive up to 50% less money than what you're able to negotiate for. Why? Because that is the law.
Further, in retail stores, the prices are not negotiable, and you have to pay up to 15% more money than the actual retail prices. Why? Because that's the law.
Each of these numbers works against you, and each of these numbers are a lot more powerful than you may initially realize.
The Varsovian job
How would you like to be an alien in the mythical country of Varsovia?If you want to be an alien in Varsovia — I mean a poor, fearful, insecure guest worker who is disliked by pretty much every Varsovian, or if you want to be treated like a criminal — all you have to do is to start applying for Varsovian jobs.
If you want a Varsovian job, your best bet is an employment agency in your own country. They're the ones you'll need to ask for Varsovian jobs and work visas.
If you and your agency are successful, then after a long wait, you'll likely be asked if you've ever been arrested or convicted of any felony and misdemeanor. Why? Because in Varsovia you're a criminal. And because Varsovia is a fear culture where the exaggerated fears are omnipresent.
Additionally you'll likely have to take a drug test and authorize a group of total strangers, including a detective agency (gumshoe) and their employees, to investigate you and your background.
